Key Property Solutions Ltd carried out extension and alteration works to provide two new retail units.
In order to install new steel staircases, the works included demolition of existing steel and concrete internal staircases and infilling of existing openings within the slab. This was followed by the stripping of services in Units 1 and 5, in order to make a new opening within the existing floor slab for the new staircases and lift shaft.
Once these works were completed, new steel staircases were inserted and the formation of new stair core partitions made. Finally, new doors to stair cores and external elevations were inserted
Other works carried out included the demolition of external walls, the removal of glazing and existing pre concrete panels to the building frontage and concrete repairs. Works were also undertaken to the existing ground floor slabs, forming new edge beam, and
the raising of existing floor. Screeding works to all floors was carried out where required.
Additionally, a new Substation, with foundations through the basement slab, was created together with the forming of 3no sump pump pits and pumps and power.
Key Property Solutions also recovered the existing roof and increased the height of existing roof parapets, improved the new proposed entrance and paving works.
M&E works were carried out to upgrade existing systems in readiness for design by tenant.
These works have only been recently completed.
